Functional Wellness

As a functional diagnostic nutrition practitioner, my goal is to get to the root cause of your health issues. During our work together, I teach how the body was originally designed to function so you can be proactive as your own health advocate. Instead of throwing medications at an issue, my goal is to help the body’s natural healing ability. Functional medicine does not suppress symptoms of the body; it gives the body the support it needs.
As we work together, you’ll discover that our focus is not just on what you eat, but also on how various aspects of your life – such as sleep, exercise, stress, and relationships – influence your well-being. This holistic view allows us to create a comprehensive wellness plan tailored to your needs and lifestyle.
What to Expect
- We will first discuss any concerning symptoms you are having, your current lifestyle and diet, and what goals you hope to accomplish.
- We will then go over an extensive health history intake, including any past lab work if available. I may recommend lab work to get a clear picture of your health status.
- I will make lifestyle recommendations, discuss foods or supplements to implement into your diet, and any other protocols that could benefit your overall wellness.
Remember, this is a collaborative process. Your active participation is key to success. Alongside my guidance, you’ll learn to make informed decisions about your health, developing habits that will serve you well in the long run. The ultimate goal? To help you regain balance, boost your vitality, and reclaim the vibrant health that you deserve. Let’s embark on this transformative journey together!

Physical Therapy, Dry Needling, and Coaching the Body
Physical Therapy for Pain Relief, Strength, and Overall Wellness
While going through baseball-related elbow and shoulder surgeries as a college athlete, Luke experienced the importance of quality rehabilitation to continue enjoying an active life. He graduated from University of Miami’s Physical Therapy program in 2006 and soon began working in sports medicine with collegiate and professional athletes. Today, he treats clients of all levels, from those recovering from sports injuries to those dealing with chronic pain. He understands the amount of reliance and vulnerability patients experience upon beginning therapy; therefore, he strives to treat every patient the way he would expect to be treated.
Dry Needling
Luke pursued his certification in dry needling to provide faster healing times and improved treatment outcomes for his patients. Dry needling allows the body to heal itself naturally, which falls in line with his belief in a holistic approach. Through the combined therapies of integrative dry needling, soft tissue mobilization, and bodywork, Luke has reduced pain and increased mobility in a long list of patients.
About Luke
He uses his experience in the field of physical therapy and continuing education as well as his personal experience in rehabilitation to tailor the treatment for each of his patients. Luke was once a patient himself while rehabbing baseball related elbow and shoulder surgeries and prefers a “one to one” personalized treatment plan with each of his patients. He understands the amount of reliance and vulnerability patients experience upon beginning therapy; therefore, he strives to treat every patient the way he would expect to be treated.
Dry Needling
What is Dry Needling?
A highly effective physical therapy treatment that involves inserting a very fine filament needle through the skin, into the muscles, and the surrounding tissue. It is a highly effective treatment for a multitude of musculoskeletal and neuromuscular conditions.
How Long Do Results Take?
Dry needling works by causing a micro lesion within the pathological tissue. The micro lesion results in several healing responses within the tissue. While you typically feel some immediate relief, you commonly experience a gradual improvement in symptoms over the following 1 – 2 days.
What Conditions Does Dry Needling Treat?
Common conditions treated include, but are not limited to neck, back, SI joint and shoulder pain; bursitis, arm pain (tennis elbow, carpal tunnel, golfer’s elbow), certain types of headaches, jaw pain, buttock pain, leg pain (sciatica, hip pain, hamstrings strains, knee pain, IT band pain, calf tightness/ spasms) and plantar fasciitis.
Coaching the Body™ with Annette Woldanski
Where science meets compassion.
My journey into Coaching the Body™ work began with my own search for relief. After years of back and hip pain that conventional treatments couldn’t resolve, I knew there had to be a better way. With a lifelong passion for fitness and an obsessive curiosity about how the body moves and heals, I was determined to find real, lasting solutions. That journey led me to Coaching the Body™ — and ultimately to helping others do the same.
What is Coaching the Body™?
Coaching the Body™ is a powerful, neuroscience-informed approach to resolving pain at its root. It combines trigger point therapy, movement re-education, and nervous system regulation to restore strength, mobility, and ease — often where other therapies have failed. This is not traditional massage or a stretching session; it’s clinical, hands-on, and deeply collaborative.
Clients often come to me after trying everything — still struggling with sciatica, SI joint dysfunction, hip bursitis, headaches, frozen shoulder, bicep tendonitis, plantar fasciitis, low back pain, neck and shoulder tension, and more. CTB™ offers a new path forward.
What Makes It Different?
Unlike traditional approaches that focus on symptom relief, Coaching the Body™ identifies and interrupts the neuromuscular patterns that cause and sustain pain. Rather than relaxing muscles temporarily, this work retrains your body at the root level — often creating immediate and lasting results.
Each session is interactive, clothed, and focused on restoring pain-free movement. I use a variety of techniques to calm the nervous system, deactivate trigger points, and reprogram tight, dysfunctional muscles:
- Electronic point stimulation – gently resets overactive trigger points
- Vibrational distraction – soothes the nervous system and reduces guarding
- Post-isometric relaxation (PIR) – releases muscles without force
What to Expect
Your healing journey begins with a comprehensive 2-hour initial session. We’ll start with an in-depth conversation about your pain history, lifestyle, movement patterns, and daily habits. From there, I’ll assess your body’s current state and begin hands-on treatment, observing how your nervous system and muscles respond in real time.
This process allows us to uncover often-missed root causes of pain and create a highly personalized treatment plan. Many clients feel significant relief in their very first session.
If follow-up sessions are needed, they are booked in 90 or 120-minute appointments, depending on your needs. You’ll leave each visit not only feeling better but with a deeper understanding of your body and a custom plan for self-care.
Please wear comfortable, stretchy clothing. Women: wear or bring shorts and a sports bra or tank top. Men: wear or bring a pair of shorts. Treatment takes place on a cushioned floor mat.
Why It Matters
My goal is to get you out of pain — efficiently, effectively, and without dependency. Many of my clients experience lasting results in just a few sessions. I’ll support you with tools and education to continue your progress at home, helping you move better, feel stronger, and live more freely.
Healing is possible when your body is truly understood.
